Guests should also be aware that the Italian authorities may levy a per person, per day visitor tax depending on the location of the villa, typically for up to the first seven days of your stay, and this is payable locally in Euro cash. Access to the villa is either via a public elevator from street level or by climbing more than 250 steps; as the elevator is municipal rather than private, the villa is not responsible for its maintenance, a local fee may apply for its use, and its operating hours are determined by the township of Positano.
